You can expect a warm welcome at our practice. You can expect that we will listen to you, hear your problems and do everything we can to help you. We want you to feel relaxed, comfortable and at home in our practice. We provide a professional environment geared at looking at you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms that need fixing.
Past History – Firstly you need to fill in some paperwork regarding your history and complaint. Using this information the Chiropractor will have a discussion with you to assess whether they feel they will be able to help you.
Examination –The Chiropractor will then do a comprehensive examination involving neurological, orthopaedic and chiropractic tests to ascertain the cause of your problems.
X-rays – Not everybody needs x-rays. However, if it is deemed that you need x-rays these can be taken onsite using our state of the art digital X-ray machine. If you have your own set of x-rays, however, please bring these with you to your first appointment.
Report of Findings – The Chiropractor will then discuss what they have found and what they can do to help. This is often a hugely relieving time for our clients. For some people this can be the first time they have found out what the cause of their symptoms is and have someone offer them real solutions. If x-rays have been taken these will be shown and discussed with you. You will be able to ask any questions you may have at this point.
Assuming you are eager to begin Chiropractic care at this point, the Chiropractor will discuss a treatment plan with you.
First Adjustment – We always try to give you your first treatment on your initial visit if we can. This is the moment you have been waiting for! The Chiropractor will explain everything along the way ensuring that you are comfortable and relaxed with the process.
Although we always do our best to give you your first treatment on day one, if for any reason the chiropractor needs to gather any further information regarding your case then they may be unable to treat you on this first visit. However, we will do our best to get you back at the next available opportunity to begin your Chiropractic care.
As the ground work has been completed in the first consultation, regular appointments are straight forward and less time consuming. You will receive a Chiropractic adjustment at each appointment, building on the work that has been done at the last visit. The Chiropractor will also schedule regular re-examinations to assess your progress and give you exercise programs so you can pro-actively speed up the healing process.
